How You Can Help
Donor Stories
It does not matter how much you support, but rather that you support. Here are some of our success stories…
Gwynne Thompson - Senior Project
Gwynne Thompson, a senior at Pullman High School, hand-made a quilt for her senior project and raffled it off to raise money for the CPRC. Her gift was used to fund a program that demonstrates how stress reduction can enhance the immune system in late-stage breast cancer patients and improve their quality of life. Her gift also helped secure federal funds to expand the research.
Viola Ewell - Volunteer
Viola Ewell is the wife of a cancer survivor and a cancer survivor herself. As a volunteer at Deaconess Hospital in Spokane, she donates her time and energy to helping improve the quality of life for others. She also invests financially in the CPRC to support new research, research collaboration, and educational outreach.
The Spokane Corvette Club - Glass on Grass Event
The Spokane Corvette Club raises funds through its annual “Glass on Grass” show in Riverfront Park to support prostate cancer research at the CPRC.
The need is urgent
A donor once told us that you can go weeks without regular food, days without water, minuets without air, but you can not go forward for a second without hope. Help us bring hope to the over 1.4 million people who are expected to develop cancer this year and the 10 million that are currently survivors.
Why DONATE to the Cancer Prevention & Research Center at Washington State University?
Statistics show that 1 in 4 Americans will be affected by cancer. You, a loved one or a friend may experience cancer sometime in your lifetime. The risk that a person will develop cancer over their lifetime is slightly more than one in two for men and slightly less than one in three for women.
By donating to the Cancer Prevention & Research Center, you are making an investment in help
